The Battle of the Tigers was a warlike event that has become part of the Ga'Hoolian legend cycle.
This battle happened in the time of a long solar eclipse when the tigers of that age went mad from lack of sunlight and began a murderous rampage. It had been a male Great Gray Owl named Long Talon who had plunged down from the black one night and killed their leader - a tiger 100 times his own size.

Many ages later, Twilight the young male Great Gray Owl would think about this tale, having previously learned about it, as part of the Ga'hoolian legend cycle when he and the rest of the Chaw of Chaws went to infiltrate the St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls to resist being moon blinked.
