Twilla is a female Short-Eared Owl, or Asio flammeus, and is the caretaker of Ifghar at the Glauxian Brothers retreat.
Biography[]
Before the Books[]
Twilla was a skog (a singer and storyteller) of her clan. The entire clan was unnecessarily massacred by Ifghar's forces during the War of the Ice Claws. Later, she became a Glauxian Sister and Ifghar's attendant. At the Glauxian Brothers' Retreat, she learned to forgive and healed her inner wounds.
The Burning[]
Twilla found that Gylfie was captured after following Ifghar and Gragg out of suspicion. She rescued Gylfie by covering herself in gold berry juices and made the kraals believe that she was Glaux. After escaping, Twilla sang Gylfie one of her old skog songs to be a comfort on the way. Twilla then goes to the Glauxian Brothers to inform them of Ifghar and Gragg's betrayal.
