The Guardians of Ga'Hoole are the owls who reside at the Great Ga'Hoole Tree. They are mentioned in many different legends. They are said to be "A group of noble owls that rise into the night to perform noble deeds". To become a Guardian of Ga'Hoole, one must complete various tasks. First, you have to find the Great Tree, which isn't easy unless you know exactly where it is. Once you arrive, you must participate in the trees classes. After that is done, you will be tapped(or assigned) to a specific chaw(or group). The chaws available are:

Colliering- The art of diving into forest fires and retrieving hot coals

Weather Interpretation- Being able to fly out into storms and predicting the weather

Search and Rescue- Going out to assist those who need it, and the occasinol fighting

Tracking- The ability to find or track a apecific person/group

Navigation- The ability to use the stars to travel

Ga'Hoolology- Taking care of the Great Tree

Blacksmith- The art of making things out of metal, such as battle claws

After you spend some time in chaw, you will have to take the Guardian Oath, and finally become a Guardian of Ga'Hoole!
