Kalo is a female Burrowing Owl, Speotyto cunicularius, and childhood friend of Coryn, as well as the daughter of Myrtle and Harry, and the brother of Coryn (named after his savior and nicknamed Cory). Because of her love of thinking and reading, she is nearly burned as part of the Striga’s plans. She also has a daughter named Siv and a son named Bruno, whom she had with her mate, Grom.

HistoryEdit

The Hatchling Edit

Kalo first met Coryn when she went out of her family's burrow after only hearing him say the firset two letters of his name she thought he was Nyra.

The OutcastEdit

First Kalo thought Coryn was Nyra , but after Coryn saved her mother's egg she knew he was good.

ExileEdit

Kalo had a daughter, Siv, named after Queen Siv and a son, Bruno with Grom, her mate. Because of her love of thinking and reading, she was nearly burned as part of Striga’s plans.

The War of the EmberEdit

Kalo, Cory and Grom were sent along with Gwyndor, Octavia and Coryn to the Northern Kingdoms to recruit owls for the War of the Ember.
