Simon, a male brown fish owl (Bubo zeylonensis or Ketupa zeylonensis), was a peace-loving pilgrim from the Glauxian Brothers of the Northern Kingdoms.

HistoryEdit

The SiegeEdit

When Kludd nearly drowned after trying to cool his burning face in the waters of a lake, Simon saved him and took him to his hollow. When Kludd regained his sight he told Simon that he wasn't a Pure One, but the fish owl was confused by what he meant. He nursed Kludd back to health and tried to heal his horribly injured face. He even hunted "red meat" (voles and mice) according to his requests even though he was only used to catching fish. When Kludd grew strong again, he turned on Simon in a rage and brutally murdered him. What Kludd didn't realize was that a spotted owl, Mist, had been watching him. She saw Kludd kill Simon. Later, the band stopped to rest in his hollow after Soren got injured

Rumors of Simon's death had spread in Ambala. Coryn stopped at his hollow for some rest.
